Privacy policy
This page explains which data we process when you visit this website, why and for how long.
Controller
The person responsible is Adrian Moser, Switzerland, who can be reached at contact@missionarychristianity.com. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies.
Hosting and server logs
The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in the Falkenstein data centre (Germany); recordings and pictures are stored there too. When a page is opened, the server logs technically necessary data: IP address, time, the page opened, the browser and, if you are signed in, your user ID. We need them to detect errors and misuse. They are deleted automatically after 30 days.
Contact form and email
When you write to us, we send your name, e-mail address, the chosen congregation and your message by e-mail through our IONOS mailbox to the person responsible. The message is not stored on the website's server. The e-mail stays in the mailbox as long as we need it to reply.
Login for members
Signing in works through Logto, our own sign-in system on the same server. It stores your e-mail address, your name and your password (encrypted only), as well as your home congregation, your language, your last visit and whether you are approved as a member. If you have your account deleted, all data belonging to it is deleted.
Event registrations
When you register for an event, we store who registered, the names and ages of the participants, the chosen days and your notes. Only you and the people organising the event can see this. Registrations are deleted automatically three months after the event.
E-mail notifications
When you subscribe to news, we store your e-mail address, your language and the chosen congregations. The subscription only starts once you confirm it with the link in the first e-mail. Every e-mail contains a link to unsubscribe.
Recordings
We record services and talks as audio. Only signed-in members can listen to whole recordings; single parts, such as a sermon, only become public when those responsible explicitly decide so. For every speaker it can be set whether their name is shown publicly, to members only or not at all; if the speaker is linked to their account, they can change this themselves.
Cookies and external services
We only use technically necessary cookies: one for signing in (encrypted) and one that remembers your language. There is no tracking and no advertising. We only count how often recordings are played and which errors occur, without any details about you. YouTube videos load only when you click “Play”, and then through the privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). Maps are only links to Google Maps, Apple Maps or OpenStreetMap; nothing is loaded from there before you click.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you and have it corrected or deleted. Write to us at contact@missionarychristianity.com.
